Shoes=happiness {shoe math}

Wouldn't it be nice if the health of your wallet corresponded automatically with the health of shoe-love? Meaning, I wish that my love for shoes and all things apparel would decrease as my poorness increases. It would make life soooo much easier, and less emotionally dejecting. However, according to basic mathematics, the present equation leads to serious coveting. This is what I am coveting currently:
